Head chartered physiotherapist & Founder
Albert is the Head Chartered Physiotherapist and Owner of Physiokinetics.
He qualified with a BSc. (1st class Hons.) in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick in 2007. His expertise is in functional sports rehabilitation and exercise prescription, providing an individualised progressive approach for the treatment of injuries and rehabilitation.
He is also the co-owner, director and Head Coach of Pinnacle Movement – Crossfit 536 where he works day-to-day with high level recreational athletes, helping them to reach their own potential. He has trained and worked with CrossFit athletes since 2008, when he joined one of the first affiliates in Ireland at the time, Crossfit Dublin. He was also involved in the initial set up of CrossFit South London in the early days before it became Crossfit Perpetua. Albert has a unique understanding of the demands faced by people doing CrossFit and functional fitness, having worked with CrossFit athletes for over 10 years. Albert has completed the Crossfit Level 1, Crossfit Endurance and Crossfit Olympic Lifting Courses, As well as the OPEX Assessment and Program Design Modules.
Believing strongly in the power of exercise for overall health and wellness, his approach to Physiotherapy is both a hands on one, and one where detailed exercise prescription is fundamental to the rehabilitation process. Having set up the Back-Fit program in 2018 to help people Back to Fitness after injury or lengthy absence from exercise, Alberts passion is in engaging people from all walks of life, age and ability in a suitable exercise program.
Albert has also worked as the Head Physiotherpist for Blackrock RFC from 2007 – 2012 and has given multiple workshops on mobility and movement across Ireland and the UK, in several Crossfit Boxes. He has presented research at the IRFU sports medical conference, and the RCSI annual conferences.
